Christine Argyle
Christine has an LTCL Performer’s diploma in singing and has been a member of numerous choirs, including the NZ National Youth Choir, London Symphony Chorus, the Tudor Consort and (currently) Voices New Zealand.
She studied conducting at Auckland University with Karen Grylls and Uwe Grodd, and for a year was assistant conductor of the Auckland Dorian Choir.
In 2004 Christine formed the chamber choir, Nota Bene, which has quickly established a high profile in the Wellington choral scene, in particular for its innovative programming. Christine has worked for Radio NZ Concert as a presenter and producer since 1996 and in 2001 established and hosted the network’s daily music news programme Upbeat!. She has been a regional adjudicator for The Big Sing in recent years and is the current chair of the NZ Choral Federation. |
