As we slide into winter, join Nota Bene to celebrate the joys of a classic British summer with a ‘Rule Britannia’, a ‘pom-tiddly-pom’—and a touch of the Proms thrown in!
Led by our wonderful music director Maaike Christie-Beekman, and featuring the indomitable Mark Hadlow as Master of Ceremonies, we know that you’ll love your time “out in the midday sun!”
From beautiful arrangements of folk songs like O Waly Waly and Bobby Shafto to old favourites I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside and Cruising Down The River On A Sunday Afternoon; English classics from Elgar, Finzi and G&S through to the modern classics It Must be Love and Fields of Gold…this concert will have something to delight one and all.
And bring your best singing voices—in true Proms fashion, the audience will have a chance to raise the rafters.
You will also be treated to a right proper afternoon tea with cucumber sandwiches and scones—the traditional flavours of an English summer!
Book online at Eventfinda before 14 June to reserve your place and get an early bird discount. Don’t miss out!
